Free Cigarette Butt Recycling Program

Cigarette filters are the single biggest source of litter in the US, and across the entire planet.

Look practically anywhere, and you’re bound to see cigarette filters littered on streets and sidewalks and storm drains, and being flicked out of car windows. But cigarette litter isn’t just unsightly, it also poses major environmental problems. Discarding cigarette filters isn’t the same as discarding paper or cardboard, which are biodegradable. Cigarette filters are made of thousands of plastic-like cellulose acetate fibers, which can take years to decay; and once they do, the leftover tar and toxic chemicals from the filter are released into the environment. For this reason, throwing filters in the garbage where they end up in landfills isn’t a good option either. The only viable solution to this problem is to actually recycle cigarette butts in order to keep them out of landfills. As a result, Crescent City Vape is proud to launch our FREE cigarette butt recycling program to help keep NOLA beautiful, and our streets and sidewalks butt-free.

All cigarette butts Crescent City Vape collects will be recycled for use in consumer products like toys and school supplies.
